Aircraft Design Team

The Aircraft Design Team designed and built aircraft to compete in the Unmanned Systems Canada’s (USC) Student Competition and AUVSI’s Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition.

  • Designed and built fixed-wing, multi-rotor, and VTOL aircraft. Testing involved simulations, thrust tests, payload tests, wind tunnel tests, and flight tests.

  • Responsible for aircraft design strategies and devising competition flight paths.

  • Ranked 3rd out of 12 teams in 2018 and 4th out of 13 teams in 2017 in the USC Student Competition.
