  • Researched and designed innovative prototypes regarding Ambient Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

  • Examined how household objects, not commonly seen as IoT devices, could be redesigned to display information in an unobtrusive way.

  • An IoT prototype was designed and used to develop a Ph.D. thesis.

  • Examples Included:

    • A picture frame that would display different images depending on if the garage was open or closed.

    • A drawer, containing an umbrella, would open if there was at least a 30% chance of rain in the forecast
