Manitoulin Distribution Station Project

Managed the construction and commissioning of a brand-new distribution station on Manitoulin Island. The project involved decommissioning the old distribution station, providing environmental restoration of the land, and installing new distribution lines.

Responsibilities unique to this project:

• Assisted the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment, Drainage Analysis, Ecological Impact Analysis, and Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) Approval.

• Resolved unforeseen project complications by managing the project plan, financial variances, and submitting Change Orders.

• Monthly site visits in Manitoulin Island with foremen along with planning meetings in Sudbury with the commissioning team.

• Oversaw the involvement and long-term impact of local aboriginal communities.
